About Area Directors

The Area Director is a member of the USPSA Board of Directors, which is responsible for policy-making within the organization. While they have no financial interest in USPSA, a non-profit organization, they possess a deep passion for the sport. The board meets once a month and at least once annually in person.

Similar to Section Coordinators (SCs), the Area Director represents USPSA to both the shooters and the public. Additionally, they are tasked with ensuring that an Area Championship takes place within their designated region each year. Elected by USPSA members in a specific geographical area, the Area Director acts as a liaison between sections, SCs, clubs, and the President/Regional Director.
